What do I need to bring to class?

Please wear clothes you feel comfortable in i.e., joggers, leggings and sweater. You may want to bring a drink however we do have a tuck shop which sells snacks and drinks

What Footwear do I wear?

We ask that dancers attend in clean trainers for Street styles and Freestyle, Rock n Roll and Slow classes are danced bare foot. There is plenty of space to store your footwear in the studios

How do I pay?

All our classes are pay as you go- CASH ONLY ON ENTRY. We have a strict ‘no money no dance’ policy 

Is there a Car park?

We have a large free car park and also a waiting area for parents inside

What Level I am?

Nearly all our general classes are OPEN level- which means anyone can join in within that age bracket. Please check our timetable for your class times

Can I Join a Team?

Dancers who are interested in joining a team must audition after attending classes for a period of time. Auditions for our Freestyle Teams are typically held in April and Street teams in July. Dances who are successful are expected to commit to their team for the year, attend extra sessions and comps and buy a team costume. We have 8 competitive teams, some of who are who are current National Champions. Look out for announcements across the year on our social media and noticeboards

Can I start a Private lesson?

Private lessons are for dancers who want to take up extra tuition to further their dancing and/or to compete. Please speak to a member of staff to see which slots are available

What else can I get involved with at Dance Emporium?

Lots if you are up for it! We do community performances, competitions, fundraising events, school trips…! We also hold IDTA certified exams and have an annual school show at the end of the year. You can attend as many classes as you like and get involved with as many events as possible!
